Students and Parents:
Good Afternoon, Henry D. Perry Education Center families. This is Bardetta Haygood, your principal. I hope this message finds everyone safe and healthy. The purpose of this message is to let you know if you have not yet borrowed a computer for your child’s online learning during our extended closure, there will be another opportunity to do so. On Saturday, March 28, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm, we will be distributing laptops for our students to use.
Students who have not missed more than 30 days this year, and who have earned at least 1 full credit are eligible. The computers will be distributed at our Main Campus in Miramar. Please remember to bring your child’s Student ID and Password.
Also, when visiting the school, please remember to practice social distancing as recommended by health officials. If your child already has a computer to access their instruction online, it is not necessary for you to get one from the District. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
To obtain a laptop, students and their parents are to visit https://www.browardschools.com/bcpspropertypass, to complete an online property pass for the laptop which is an inventoried item. When you report to the respective location, we will review the online pass. Please bring your HDPEC student identification, your parent or guardian’s ID, and students must know their student number and single-sign on password.
Students will begin classes remotely on March 30th, after Spring Break. Information on how to access classes and lessons will be posted on our school’s website, sent home via email and available on our Social Media platforms.
For more information, please regularly visit our website at www.henrydperryeducationcenter.com.
